Just a minute... in September

Watching... Up, we took our nearly-four-year-old to see it - his first cinema experience (besides one memorable cry baby session that he handled brilliantly but I did not). He loved everything about it, the screen, the noise, the darkness, the story... everything! I thought he might get scared but he was happy as Larry.

Also started watching Mad Men after borrowing season 1 from my cousin - I'm not going to get through it before season 2 starts though - what to do?!?!?

Reading... actually 'no longer reading' Jung's biography. I renewed it at the library twice and that's the limit. I was only half-way through but I had to return it. Boo.

Listening... and dancing around the kitchen to Don't stop 'til you get enough - not alone mind you, the boys were totally into it! Follow the link and crank it up I say!

Spring-cleaning... like a madwoman. On Sunday I cleaned 50 panes of glass, sure they were small but it wasn't the glass so much as the built up dirt/dust on each sill that was arduous.

Enjoying... the beautiful Spring weather and spending as much time outside as possible. Or at least I was until a week ago - we've had five days in a row of dreary rainy weather here in Melbourne, which my garden is eternally grateful for, but my two small boys have been going stir crazy with all the indoor activity and have had to be physically separated MANY times. Mama needs a break - turn on the sun, please!

Just a minute... in August

Making... soft boxes (well just one actually) from All Buttoned Up, I love her blog. Let's just say I drew inspiration from the tutorial rather than followed it... and it would have worked out much better if I had followed it. You can't really call it a success when your final assessment is 'it will be in a drawer so you won't really see it'. But it's true!

Enjoying... all the new growth in the garden, I'm keeping an eye on my native mint, I'm expecting a flush of purple flowers any day now. I mistakenly pruned most of it back a while ago just as it was starting to bud (wasn't paying attention) so it will be less spectacular than in previous years unfortunately.

Raising... seeds: the basil, leek and parsley seedlings have emerged - yay!

Reading... Jung (still) but very slowly, usually only 15 minutes
at the end of the day, not the easiest way to read this sort of
material even if it is a biography.

Thrifting... my all-time best find ever, a Husqvarna 2000 6010 from a local op shop for $30!

Listening... to my youngest make my eldest laugh hysterically - music to my ears.

Losing... the heel of my boot on Friday night out in the city and therefore...

Needing... a trip to the shoe repair place.

Looking forward to... a weekend down the beach with friends in a couple of weeks time, can't wait! Really hoping for nice weather!

Blogging...
more often since I started joining in with Kirsty's, Cindy's and Jenaveve's memes, it's been fun playing along and I was chuffed that Cindy invited me to come up with the next Eye Spy theme.
